Usage policy
Acceptable Use Policy
This policy protects MenuMeter, restaurant customers, and the services that power the application from misuse.
Effective September 1, 20261. Scope
This Acceptable Use Policy applies to anyone who accesses or uses MenuMeter. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings in the Terms of Service. Violating this policy is a violation of the Terms.
2. Lawful and authorized use
You may use MenuMeter only for lawful purposes and only with data you are authorized to process. You may not use the Service to violate law, infringe intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or contractual rights, facilitate fraud, or misrepresent your identity or authority.
3. Prohibited data and content
You may not upload or process content that is unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, threatening, harassing, exploitative, or infringing; contains malware or harmful code; or exposes another person's sensitive information without authorization. Do not submit full payment-card details, account passwords, government identification numbers, protected health information, or biometric identifiers.
4. Security and service integrity
You may not probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities without written authorization; bypass authentication, subscription controls, usage limits, or access restrictions; interfere with availability or other users; introduce malicious code; access accounts or data without permission; conceal malicious traffic; or use automated activity that places an unreasonable burden on the Service or its providers.
5. Product and intellectual-property misuse
Except where applicable law expressly permits otherwise, you may not scrape or systematically extract the Service; copy or reproduce its protected content or original interface; reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive non-public source code, models, logic, or algorithms; remove proprietary notices; impersonate or misuse the MenuMeter brand; resell or provide the Service on a service-bureau basis; or use MenuMeter outputs, screenshots, or access to build, benchmark, market, or train a competing product without written permission.
6. Automated and abusive use
You may not create accounts in bulk, share one account beyond authorized personnel, evade trial or promotional eligibility rules, generate artificial traffic, submit files primarily to consume or disrupt processing capacity, or use bots and scripts except through interfaces we expressly authorize.
7. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and remove content, limit functionality, suspend processing, or suspend or terminate accounts when reasonably necessary to protect the Service, users, providers, or the public. We may preserve and disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, security incidents, or violations. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to correct the issue.
8. Reporting concerns
Report suspected abuse or security concerns to support@menumeter.app. Do not publicly disclose a suspected vulnerability before giving us a reasonable opportunity to investigate and address it.
